Long before Halloween meant costumes, candy, and glowing pumpkins, the last night of the harvest was a time of firelight, masks, offerings—and warnings about what might wander when the veil between the living and the dead grew thin.

On the night of Samhain, Morwen warns the villagers to keep their fires burning, cover their faces, leave food outside, and never answer a familiar voice calling from the darkness.

But Aldric does not listen.
